FAQ
Energon C is a high-performance aluminum cathode foil specifically designed to enhance battery cell performance. With optimized wettability, it ensures exceptional adhesion of active materials, resulting in improved energy transfer and extended battery life. Engineered for high tensile strength and excellent processability, Energon C integrates seamlessly into serial production processes, enhancing manufacturing efficiency. Moreover, Constantia Flexibles is committed to sustainability, utilizing only low-carbon Aluminum and relying entirely on renewable energy in all production operations.
Every coil produced undergoes a 100% inline pinhole investigation. With this method, we ensure no material with insufficient pinhole performance is delivered to our customers.
A good cathode foil should have high electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and durability. It must ensure optimized wettability for strong adhesion with active materials, exhibit a low carbon footprint, and maintain consistent thickness and flatness. Additionally, it should possess corrosion resistance, thermal stability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of machinability for efficient production. Constantia Flexibles implemented these aspects into its developments of Energon C.
Quality assurance for cathode foils starts with sourcing high-quality raw materials. Stringent manufacturing processes are implemented. Comprehensive quality control measures include testing for tensile strength, wettability, and adhesion. Our long experience in aluminum treatment ensures optimal performance. The plant and production processes are IATF 16949 certified, ensuring adherence to industry standards. Additionally, automated monitoring and continuous feedback guarantee consistent quality throughout production.
Energon C is usually packaged in two layers of plastic and shipped on reusable metal racks. In specific circumstances (e.g. small quantities or oversea shipments), the material may be shipped in wooden or cardboard boxes. Generally, Constantia Flexibles offers a variety of packaging options available upon request, leveraging its extensive experience in global shipments.
