Constantia Flexibles presents the new world of packaging at PACK EXPO 2018
At the world’s largest packaging trade fair, the PACK EXPO, which runs from October 14 to 17, 2018, in Chicago, Constantia Flexibles will present the packaging solutions of tomorrow.
At the Lower Lakeside Center, booth E-10325, the expected 50,000 visitors can learn more about Constantia Flexibles’ future-thinking packaging solutions for the consumer industry.
Four innovation pillars – Sustainability, Performance Packaging, Interactive Packaging and Brand Protection – form the basis of the fair presence.
Sustainable Packaging – Pack and Grow Sustainably
One important innovation pillar of Constantia Flexibles is sustainability. In line with this, the company focuses on recycle-ready solutions and will be showcasing their Ecolutions product line that meets sustainability requirements. One highlight is our mono PE laminate, which is applicable in a broad variety of packaging applications. OPE, for example, is reverse-printable by all printing processes including gravure printing. In regard to sustainability, EcoLam is an OPE/PE structure which is fully recycling-ready due to its mono-material structure. This product offers an approximately 32% lower carbon footprint (OPE 20 vs. PET 12).
Performance Packaging – Packaging Solutions that Stand Out
Globalization is not only impacting politics and culture but also trade markets around the world. Supermarkets are offering more and more products from different multi-national companies. Brand Protection – for a Safer Life
Within the last three years, food and beverage brands have seen a rise in counterfeit rates: Up to 39% of brands experience counterfeiting on a constant basis, 12% several times a year, and 12% once a year. Constantia Flexibles is the only producer of food films in Europe that is certified by the IHMA – the International Hologram Manufacturers Association. Members of this association are leading producers and converters of holograms for anti-counterfeiting, brand protection, and even banknote security.
